Resource Management, Employment and Alcohol Licensing
As part of our resource management, employment and alcohol licensing team, Pervinder specialises in alcohol licensing and resource management law.
After completing her law degree with first class honours from University of Waikato, she joined Harkness Henry, and has acted on a range of matters, including appearing before the High Court, Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority (ARLA), and a number of district licensing committees advocating for clients in alcohol licensing matters. Pervinder also assist clients in resolving resource management issues as well as represents them at various district plan review processes.
Pervinder has a broad range of business administrative and commercial experience, developed during her previous roles with Fonterra Co-operative Group and Electrix Limited. While at Fonterra, Pervinder was part of the successful delivery of the Darfield Site Development (world’s largest milk dryer), Pahiatua Site Development, Clandeboye Mozzarella Plant, Lichfield Site Upgrade and Edendale Expansion.
Pervinder also holds a Bachelor of Arts with Political Science (Honours) from University of Delhi, India and a Diploma in Business Administration from ESITO, Hamilton. She is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi. Pervinder has worked as a volunteer case worker with Community Law Waikato, and she is a committee member of the Women in Law Association.
Pervinder is a regular contributor to New Zealand’s premier drinks magazine, Drinksbiz, on alcohol licensing topics.
