Paul Middlemiss

Paul is one of the leading commercial lawyers in Hamilton. Paul has an extensive client base including a number of prominent national and local companies and businesses. His specialist areas are commercial and company law, contract negotiations, mergers, acquisitions and sales, commercial arbitrations and trusts.  Every year, Paul is required to advise on many of the largest transactions happening in the region, like mergers, acquisitions or other commercial transactions.

Graduating from Canterbury University in 1972 with an honours degree in law, Paul joined Harkness Henry in 1973, and was admitted as a partner in 1974, having received a rare High Court approval to commence practise as a partner before he had completed the normal three year post qualification experience.

Paul retired as a partner of the firm on 31 March 2020 but remains as a Consultant to the firm working Monday to Thursday each week.
