Priyanka Kumar

Priyanka is a Solicitor in Harkness Henry’s Litigation team based in Hamilton. She advises and assists clients across a range of dispute resolution and litigation matters, bringing a practical and analytical approach to complex legal issues.

Priyanka graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Auckland and began her legal career as a law clerk before being admitted to the Bar in 2025. Since then, she has gained experience across a broad range of civil litigation matters, including debt recovery, Public Works Act claims, resource management applications, and contentious estates disputes.

She has appeared in the District Court, High Court, and Environment Court, and regularly assists with the preparation of affidavits, briefs of evidence and submissions. Priyanka has particular experience assisting with Public Works Act compensation claims and works closely with counsel on complex litigation matters.

Prior to studying law, Priyanka completed a Bachelor of Science. Her scientific background has helped shape her strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which she applies to achieving practical outcomes for clients.
